Robert A. Jana, 67, of Niles, Ohio, died at 7:30AM Thursday, August 5th, 2010, at his residence.

He was born June 4th, 1943 in Cheboygan, Michigan the son of Albert and Marjorie Delamarter Jana.

He was a 1961 graduate of Cheboygan Catholic High School and a graduate of Ferris State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and Interior Design.

Robert was employed for 30 years as a carpet and furniture salesman for Koloskee Furniture, Carpet Gallery and Prizant's Carpet.

He was a member of Army Navy Garrison Post 252 in Niles, and past member of The Eagles and Moose Lodge in Warren, and The VFW in Warren.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and making up games with his grandson Michael. He also enjoyed, nature, watching The History and Discovery Channel and playing pool, and was a member of The Army Navy's championship pool team for several years.

His wife Beatrice DeMartini Jana whom he married March 31st, 1974 died March 4th, 1996.

He will be deeply missed by three daughters, Maria Jana of Niles, Michelle Hudach and her husband Darren of Uniontown, Ohio, Heide Wittchow and her husband John of Hanahan, South Carolina, a son David Maturo of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, a brother Donald Jana and his wife Marilyn of Cheboygan, Michigan, a sister Norma Johnson of Alma, Michigan, and four grandchildren, Michael, Lauren, Ashlynn, and Carrie.

He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.

Friends may call Monday from 11AM to 1PM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1PM, with Fr. John Madden officiating, at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren.
