Rose Cassandra Rubis Pogoreltz, 91, of Niles, formerly of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at her residence.

She was born October 9, 1921 in East Brady, Pennsylvania the daughter of Angelo and Bertha Oliver Rubis.

Rose was a homemaker, member of Saint Patrick Church, and enjoyed sewing, playing bingo, and traveling.

Her husband Louis E. Pogoreltz, whom she married March 25, 1942 died November 6, 2010

She will be deeply missed by a son Louis H. Pogoreltz and his wife Kathleen of Washington, Pennsylvania, a daughter Linda L. Snedeker and her husband Bob of Niles, a brother Rudy Rubis of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, a sister Blanche McNurlen of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, three grandchildren, Louis J. Pogoreltz and his wife Renee, Jody Mullen, and Robert Snedeker and his wife Carrie, and five greatgrandchildren, Nicolas, Rosie, Sophia, Eleanor, and Christopher Snedeker

She is preceded in death by two brothers, Mesdeo Rubis and Victor Rubis, and four sisters Julia Bushmire,Minnie Toffolo, Jenny Coleman, and Constance Thomas.

Funeral Services will be held 11AM Friday January 11 at Sollon Funeral Home Ltd with Pastor Rick Bruckner officiating.

Burial will be in The National Cemetery of The Alleghenies at 12:30PM
