Roy W. Bowman, 72, of Niles died at 4:38AM Tuesday December 30, 2014 at St. Joseph's Heath Center in Warren.

He was born March 25, 1942 in Warren the son of Dalbert and Sylvia Hurst Bowman.

Roy was a 1961 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, employed as a glass cutter and  as a janitor at McDonald's and Fiore's Restaurant. He was a member of fishing clubs, The Coon Hunters Association, and an avid fisherman and hunter.

His wife Dorothy Strong Bowman whom he married in 1977 died June 4, 2014.

He will be deeply missed by his life companion Hilda Hopkins, a daughter Tammy Parks of May's Landing, New Jersey, a brother Lee R. Bowman of Niles, a sister Jane E. May of Salem, two grandchildren, David Parks and Brian Parks, several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call a half hour before the 6:30PM memorial service Saturday at The First Baptist Church of Niles officiated by Pastor David Burman.

Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
