Russell A. Preston, 62, of McDonald, passed away Thursday August 22, 2019 at his residence.

He was born November 2, 1956 in Warren the son of Erdman and Alice Ray Preston.

Russell was a 1975 graduate of Howland High School, employed for 20 years at Brentwood Originals retiring in 2018, and member of First Presbyterian Church of Niles. He enjoyed music, reading, cooking, puzzle games, and was a member of The Army National Guard.

He will be sadly missed by his mother of Niles, three daughters, Kristina Leamer of Niles, Heather Hawley and her husband Justin of Bellafontaine, Ohio, and Carlie Connor and her husband Kyle of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, a brother, Denis Preston and his wife Lorie of Niles, two sisters, Helen Calhoun of Lecanto, Florida, and Kim Preston of Niles, and five grandchildren Ryan Hickman, Angel Connor, Dawn Hickman, Owen Leamer, and Nadia Hawley.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call one hour prior to the 5:00PM memorial service Thursday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where Russell will be honored for his military service by The Girard Veterans Council Honor Guard.
