Obituary

Sarah A. DeLuca, 90, of Struthers, formerly of Niles died Thursday July 7, 2011 at Hospice of The Valley Hospice House in Poland, Ohio.

She was born May 30, 1921 in Naples, Italy the daughter of Joseph and Sarah Accordino Natoli.

She was employed for 25 years at Carlisles Department Store, American Flange, and co-owned with her husband The Village Drive Inn in McDonald for seven years before retiring in 1985.

Sarah was a member of Our Lady of Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Niles, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society, and Infant Jesus of Prague Guild. She enjoyed Painting, Crocheting, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her husband Thomas Guy DeLuca whom she married July 27, 1940 died November 11, 1988.

She will be deeply missed by a son Thomas A. DeLuca Sr. and his wife Denise of Struthers, two daughters, Anna Mae Devaney and her husband Marvin of Mineral Ridge and Roslyn Augustine and her husband Donald of Niles, a brother Joseph Natoli and his wife Beverly of Florida, and three sisters, Marian Hill and her husband Fred of Liberty, Vera Nardo of California, and Yolanda Amudri and her husband Robert of McDonald, Nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Natoli and John Natoli.

Friends may call from 3 to 6PM Sunday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where The Mt. Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 5:30PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30AM Monday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with Fr. John S. Trimbur officiating, preceded by a 9AM prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Drs Hemrock and Naples for all the years of taking care of mom, all the nurses and staff at the Hope Centers in Cortland and Boardman, and the nurses and staff at The Hospice House for all the care during her last days.
