Susan A. Montgomery, 80, of Detriot, Michigan died at 10:00AM Monday June 29, 2015 at The Manor at Autumn Hills in Niles, Ohio.

.She was born March 31, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter oof Harold and Margaret Gillette Atherton

.Susan was a graduate of Cass Tech High School and a graduate of The University of Michigan with a Bachelors Degree in English.She was employed as an Elementary School Teacher, a member of The League of WomenVoters, Head Start, and enjoyed music

.Her husband Robert M. Montgomery whom she married January 20, 1962, died June 2011

.She will be deeply missed by three sons, Matthew S. Montgomery and his wife Elizabeth of Nevada, John R. Montgomery and his wife Melissa of Warren, and Daniel D. Montgomery and his wife Kelly of Washington D.C., a sister Eleanor Tacke of Interlochen, Michigan, and six grandchildren, Jacob, Ian, Zachary, Maxwell, John, and Frederick

She was preceded in death by a brother Douglas Atherton

Memorial Services will be held 11AM Saturday July 25, 2015 at Pilgrim Congressional Church. 3601 N. Adams Road, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, 48304
