Dr. Theodore Claude Forward, 92, of Niles passed away on Sunday May 5, 2024 at the residence of his daughter He was born June 28, 1931 in Ashtabula, Ohio the son of Donald and Constance Newcomb Forward. Ted was a 1949 graduate of Ashtabula Harbor High School, attended Oberlin College and Kent State University. He received a Bachelors Degree in English and taught in The Burton City School District. He went on to graduate with a Masters Degree in Psychology from The University of Akron, and  a PhD. In Psychology from Case Western Reserve University which led to a career as a school psychologist and in private practice. His wife Patricia Grishkat Forward whom he married July 28, 1956 died December 15, 2023. He will be deeply missed by two sons, Bradley Forward and his wife Sherry and Kyle Forward both of Niles, a daughter Tracy Mientkiewicz and her husband Peter, with whom he made his home, eight grandchildren, Elizabeth Ledbetter and her husband Troy, Michael Mientkiewicz, Rachel Mientkiewicz, Brian Forward, Joshua Forward, Kyle Forward Jr, Hannah Forward, and Jacob Forward, and five great-grandchildren, Peter and Harrison Ledbetter, Rhys and Harvey Forward, and Josephine Forward. Friends may call from 9:30AM to 10:30AM Thursday  at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM  Thursday at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Niles, with Fr. Steven Agostino officiating, preceded by a 10:30AM prayer service at the funeral home.
