NILES - Thomas M. Telego, 50 of Niles, Ohio passed away at 10:42 am, Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic surrounded by his family.

Tom was born July 15, 1967, in Warren, a son of the late Frank S. and Lucille M. (Patrone) Telego.

Tom was a 1985 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, attended Youngstown State University, where he was a member of the ROTC.

Tom was previously employed at the City of Niles as their Billing Manager until his disability/sick leave in 2014. Besides his billing duties, Tom wore many hats at the City of Niles including director of the City's EMA/911, Tele-Communications Officer, and Information Technology Director. Tom previously owned and operated Telego Computer Solutions, LLC along with his wife, Kathy.

He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, Ohio. He was also a former member of  the Niles Lions Club, serving as its president in 1991-92;  The HBA of the Mahoning Valley; Treasurer of the Mahoning Valley Italian-American Sports Hall of Fame; a previous member of the Niles Sons of Italy, Lodge 2874; and current board member of Birds in Flight Sanctuary, Warren, Ohio.

Tom enjoyed spending time playing with his dog, Ozzie, tinkering with computers, spending time with his brother in the outdoor three season room, watching movies and giving advice. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Tom will be sadly missed by his wife, Kathleen Remias Telego, whom he married May 3, 1997; a brother Stephen Sr., and his wife Janet; sister Mary Lou Telego and sisters-in-law, Kathy Schwalm, Ruth Weidemeyer and Kris Remias; step-children, Andrew Nagy, Laura Nagy Simms and her husband Mike. He was the proud uncle of Steven Telego, Jr., and wife Emily; and Rob Telego and girlfriend, Angie Heins; and the great-uncle to Tucker Anthony Telego.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call Friday from 5:00 PM to 8 PM at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM, Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles preceded by a 10:30 AM prayer service at the funeral home.
