Umberto Gatta, 73, formerly of Niles, died Thursday October 29th at 9:18 p.m. at Vista at the Ridge Nursing Home. He was born May 1, 1942 in Bagnoli Irpino, Italy. He was employed as a custodian in Howland schools for several years. He is survived by his two daughters Tonia and Laura Gatta both of Florence, Italy,  three sisters Teresina and Anna of  Bagnoli Irpino and Judith of Switzerland. Private services were held. Burial was in Niles City Cemetery. Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles handled the arrangements.
