Vincent James "Jim" Cardinal, 90, of Niles died at 11:15PM Tuesday March 4, 2014 at Washington Square Nursing Home in Warren, Ohio.

He was born February 4, 1924 in Dover, Ohio the son of Anthony and Julia Pietro Cardinal.

Jim was a 1942 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, attended Baldwin Wallace College for four years, and graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in business.

He was employed as a roll grinder for 30 years at LTV Republic Steel retiring in 1985, a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, Niles Moose, enjoyed sports, dancing, was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and was an United States Army Air Force veteran of World War II.

He will be deeply missed by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother Daniel Cardinal and a sister, Virginia Cardinal. His sister Josephine Marrara died Friday March 7th in Warren.

Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8PM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where The Mt. Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 7:30PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles preceded by a 9:15AM prayer service at the funeral home.

Jim's calling hours and mass will be held in conjunction with his sister Josephine Marrara.

Arrangements are being held by The Joseph Rossi Funeral Home in Niles.
