Virginia A. Paris, 85, of Niles died at 11:15PM Monday May 19, 2014 at Shepherd of The Valley Nursing Home in Niles.
She was born September 14, 1928 in Niles the daughter of John and Giselda Gonnella Conti.
Virginia was a 1946 graduate of North High School in Akron and employed for 32 years as a secretary and receptionist at The Children's Rehabilitation Center in Howland retiring in October of 2012.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, Niles Lions Club Ladies, enjoyed knitting, crocheting, puzzles. and watching Cleveland sports and Ohio State on tv.
Her husband Robert M. Paris Sr. whom she married June 28, 1947 died November 25, 1988.
She will be deeply missed by a son Robert M. Paris Jr. and his wife Linda of Cortland, two daughters, Carol Adam and her husband Paul of Niles and Judy Brian and her husband Gary of Niles, a sister Joanne Dodd and her husband Butch of Peninsula, Ohio, seven grandchildren, Michael Adam of Niles, Stephen Adam and his wife Marla of Howland, Jason Brian and his wife Emily of Asheville, North Carolina, Jeffrey Brian of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jenna Brian of Niles, Jessica Schreiner and her husband Dan of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Emily Paris of Cortland, and one great-grandson Jack Adam.
She was preceded in death by a sister Louise Antonucci.
Friends may call from 5 to 8PM Thursday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where the Mount Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 7:30PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles preceded by a 9:30AM prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
