Walter J. Loychik, 74, of Niles died at 8:50AM Monday March 5'th 2012 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.
He was born March 31, 1937 in Warren the son of John and Tina Krystall Loychik.
He was a 1955 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, began his studies at Bowling Green State University with an emphasis in journalism, and graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelors of Business Administration with a degree in accounting.
Walter was employed as manager of cost accounting and budgeting at Reactive Metals in Niles for 30 years retiring in 1991, and a member of the Niles Financial Committee in the 1970's that helped Niles avoid bankruptcy.
He was also an avid golfer having been a member of multiple golfing leagues such as The Niles City League and RMI Leagues. He was a member of The Vienna Fish and Game Club and several bowling leagues
He enjoyed traveling, photography, and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Lucille Ciminero Loychik whom he married November 23, 1961, two sons Michael Stephen Loychik of Howland and Christopher Loychik and his wife Lisa of Niles, a daughter Renee Menelle and her husband Thomas of Howland, a brother Donald Loychik and his wife Jan of Girard, two sisters, Marty Parella and her husband Rudy of Boardman and Gloria Gillen and her husband John of Warren, eight grandchildren, Michael, Morgan, Paige, Christopher, Anna, Gianni, Caprice, and Lucia.
Friends may call from 9 to 11AM Wednesday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM Wednesday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles ,with Father Nicholas Shori officiating
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
