William J. Sedinger Sr, 85, of Girard, passed away at 3:45 PM Monday May 31, 2021 at Hospice of The Valley Hospice House in Poland. He was born April 15, 1935 in St. Clairsville, Ohio the son of William and Mary Street Sedinger. William was employed at General Motors Lordstown as a repairman for 30 years retiring in 1996. He was a member of Cortland Moose #1012, Girard American Legion Post 535, enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool, and was a United States Naval Veteran. His wife Ruth Greenwood Sedinger whom he married May 15, 1958 died February 15, 2017. He will be deeply missed by three sons, William J. Sedinger Jr. of Girard, Mark Sedinger and his wife Doreen of Girard, Joseph Sedinger and wife Gina of Girard, a daughter Genetta Carmen of Oklahoma, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son Charles Carmen, a brother Joseph Sedinger, and four sisters, Mildred Brown, Mary Spano, Lillian Hedger, and Dorothy Morrison.
