Amelia Chance, 86, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, formerly of Niles, passed away at 8:56AM Saturday January 11, 2020 at White Oak Manor in Waxhaw, North Carolina
She was born July 15, 1933 in Castle Shannon, Pennsylvania the daughter of Vincenzo and Venitia Camiani Marcolini. Amelia was a 1951 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, employed as a clerk at Second National Bank in Warren and as an Administrative Assistant at Superior Printing Company in Niles retiring in 1990.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles. Amelia was involved in the church Bereavement Committee, and Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed playing cards, sewing, going to the theatre and symphony, baking, cooking for her family, and makingcrafts and decorations during Christmas for her family and friends.
Her husband Joseph A. Chance Jr. whom she married August 27, 1955 died April 26, 2015.
Memories of Amelia will be carried on by her son, Joseph J. Chance and his wife Anne of Franklin, Tennessee, her daughter Nancy Jewell and her husband Mark Smets of Fort Mill, South Carolina, her three grandchildren, Shannon Billits and her husband Adam, John Jewell and his wife Kim, Rachel Jewell, and her two great-grandchildren Chance Joseph Billits and Delaney Larkin Billits.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Keith Chance, a grandson Joseph Christopher Chance, a brother Ronald Marcolini, and a sister, Lucy DeJoseph.
Friends may call Friday from 9AM to 10:30AM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles preceded by a 10:30AM prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery.
