Angela Della Cortell

Angela Della Cortell, 91, of Niles died Tuesday November 22, 2022 at Hampton Woods Nursing Home in Poland. 
She was born November 2, 1931 in Niles the daughter of Nick and Mamie Flora Cortell. 
Angela was a 1949 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, where she later taught in their school system for 34 years.  She received her Master’s Degree from Youngstown State University in 1972.  After retiring she worked part-time teaching at Youngstown State University for 7 years. 
She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niles, NEA, OEA, Scope and the Niles Historical Society. Angela loved traveling and going to the casino. 
She will be deeply missed by two brothers Dominick Cortell of Florida and Nick Cortell and his wife Radon of California and several nieces and nephews. 
She is preceded in death by her loving parents and a brother Phil Cortell. 
Friends may call 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM Monday November 28, 2022 at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
 Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niles preceded by a 9:30 AM prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
