Carmelo Fallo

Carmelo Fallo, 78, of Niles passed away with his family by his side on March 2, 2019 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

Carmelo was born on July 16, 1940 in Gioiosa Marea, Italy, the son of Santo and Epifania 
Barberi Fallo. He migrated to the United States and arrived here on December 25, 1955 at the age of 15. He attended Niles McKinley High School, and then went on to work for Copperweld Steel Corporation as a straightener operator retiring after 37 years. 

Carmelo was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish and the East End Athletic Club both in Niles. Carmelo was a compassionate and generous man who was full of wisdom and the best husband, father, and grandfather. In his spare time, Carmelo enjoyed automobiles, gardening, playing cards, hunting, travelling, reading; especially the newspaper, history, High School football and was also curious to learn about the world around him. More than anything else Carmelo enjoyed his family and the family gatherings whether it was holidays, birthdays, or just a get together.

Carmelo will be deeply missed by his wife of 52 years, Maria LaMonica Fallo, son, Santo Fallo and his wife Laura of Hartford, daughter Epifania (Fanny) Rich and her husband Mark of Niles, son, Joe Fallo and his wife Katie of Niles, sister Maria Kelley and her husband Roger of Girard, granddaughters Leah Rich, Nina Fallo and Jenna Fallo, grandsons, Ben DeLong ,Joey Fallo and many relatives from the local community and the province of Messina, Italy. 

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call Thursday from 8:30 a.m. till 10:30 a.m.at the Joseph Rossi & Sons Funeral Home in Niles. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m.Thursday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles preceded by a 10:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.

Entombment will be at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.
