Della M. Jones

Della Jones (Dinas), 83, passed away Friday evening, April 5, 2024, with her family by her side. 
Della was born April 27, 1940, the daughter of the late John Dinas and Helen Flora in Niles, Ohio. 
She was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School, and after graduation went on to work at Union Savings and Trust, and Packard Electric. After retirement Della received her degree in Cosmetology, and opened Orr’Dels Hair Salon on Robbins Ave. in Niles, with her husband. 
Della married Orrin E. Jones on January 3, 1959. They had two children and were happily married for almost 50 years before his passing on February 16, 2008. They raised their children in Niles, spent years together in the villages in Florida, and for her last year Della lived in Poland, OH close to her children. Della and Orrin did everything together. From operating the salon, to attending every Ohio State home football game for 10 years (OH-IO!). They were truly a great team - and after 16 years apart, they are together again.
She loved making pizza and was known for her wedding soup and braided Easter bread; so good! Her and Orrin always said they were the first to offer pizza delivery in the area. She made the pizza… and OJ delivered them every Friday. 
To carry on her memory, Della leaves behind and will be missed by her daughter, Michelle “Mitzi” Davoli; Son, Stephen (Michele) Jones; Grandchildren, who always made her smile, Trevor (Ashley) Jones, Abigayle Jones, McKenzie Michalski, and Max Michalski; two great grandchildren, Macie and Milo; a brother Thomas (Momiji) Dinas, sister Anna Mae (Stan) Juchnewich, and sister-in-law Deanna Dinas.
Della was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two brothers, Gus and Marshall Dinas.
Della did not want calling hours or a service. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Orrin in Niles City Cemetery in Niles, Ohio.
