Della Williams

 Della Williams, 89, of Green, Ohio formerly of Niles, passed away on Thursday January 21, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton.
She was born September 5, 1931 in Niles the daughter of Joseph and Margaret Coates Soda.
She was a 1950 graduate of Niles McKinley High School  ,employed as a nursing assistant at Warren General Hospital for 21 years, member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, enjoyed walking, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by two sons, Jack R. Williams (Lisa) of Green Ohio and James M. Williams (Marsha) of Queen Creek Arizona, three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, James Soda,Jess Soda, John Soda, Joseph Soda Jr., six sisters,Catherine Marino, Rosemarie “BoBo” DeFabio, Marie Melillo, Lena Nemes, Margaret Matthews, Celia Shilling, and two grandsons, Kyle Mathew Williams and Jordan Williams.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at St. Luke Lutheran for the excellent care they gave their mother the last couple of years, as well as the staff at Mercy Medical Center for the care and compassion they displayed during her final hours.
Friends may call from 10AM to 11AM Tuesday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Due to the current health situations social distancing measures are expected to be observed and friends coming to pay respects to the family are kindly asked to depart the funeral home after doing so. Facial coverings are mandatory also.
Funeral services are private.
