Donato Sciarra

Donato Sciarra, 70, of Mineral Ridge, passed away at 10:50PM Friday June 19, 2020 at his residence.
He was born September 18, 1949 in Roseto Valfortore, Italy the son of Alessandro and Orazia Catullo Sciarra.
Donato was employed at Easco Alluminum in Girard as a press operator for 25 years retiring in 1995 and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles. He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State University football fan, enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his granddaughters.
Memories of Donato will be carried on by his wife Franca Maddamma Sciarra whom he married September 30, 1972, a son Alessandro Sciarra, at home, a daughter. Maria Pagano and her husband Alfredo of Niles, two brothers, Pat Sciarra and his wife Cindy of Canfield and Antonio Sciarra(Carla) of Campbell, two granddaughters Emalea and Daniela Pagano, and his nieces and nephews who loved and cared for him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law and mother-in-law Carmelo and Maria Maddamma.
Friends may call Wednesday from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Due to the current health situation, social distancing measures are expected to be observed and friends coming to pay respects to the family are kindly asked to promptly depart the funeral home after doing so. Facial coverings strongly recommended please.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Wednesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles where social distancing and facial coverings are strongly recommended also.
Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery.
Due to the Coronavirus the family requests no flowers.
Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
