Donna M. Sloban

Donna Marie Sloban, 66, of Niles passed away at 12:17AM Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina.
She was born June 1, 1954 in Warren, the daughter of Edward and Matilda Gramla Szykulski.
Donna was a 1972 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and employed at General Electric, Trumbull Lamp, and Mahoning Glass for 33 years.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, member and past president of The Niles McKinley Football and Soccer Mothers, and several G.E. Retirement Groups. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their soccer games and other activities, loved taking pictures of people in their happiest moments, and motorcycle riding with her husband, Ted.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Ted Sloban, whom she married on May 20, 1978, a son, Teddy Sloban of Niles, two daughters, Holly Fisher and her husband, Eric, of Niles, and Abbey Bixler and her husband, Noah, of Aurora, Ohio, two brothers, Ron Szykulski and his wife, Lydia, of Cortland and Tom Szykulski and his wife, Debbie, of Warren, a sister, Diane Varsho and her husband, Mike, of Warren, and six grandchildren, Caitlyn, Giana, and Olivia Fisher, and Benjamin, Vivian, and Alton Theo Bixler.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant twin children.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Noon on Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles where social distancing and facial coverings are mandatory.
Due to the current health conditions there will be no receiving line. An outdoor Celebration of Life will be held at a later date when family and friends can engage each other the way Donna would have wanted.

Burial will be at Pineview Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
