Edith Pallante, 96, of Niles, passed away on Thursday April 25, 2024 at Shephed of The Valley Liberty.
She was born November 12, 1927 in Niles the daughter of James and Josephine Infante DeLucia.
Edith was a 1947 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, and employed as a presser at Cornicelli and Valsi Dry Cleaners for 30 years retiring in 2005.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Niles, Blessed Mother Society, Leasure 39’ers, enjoyed cooking and reading.
Her husband Louis “Lilacs” Pallante Sr. whom she married August 20, 1949 died December 26, 2006.
She will be deeply missed by three sons, Louis Pallante Jr. and his wife Charlene of Niles, Thomas Pallante and his wife Christine of Niles, and Kenneth Pallante and his wife Renee of Howland, three grandchildren, Nicholas Pallante, Daniel Pallante and his wife Sheila, and Jessica Pallante, two great grandchildren Jude and Nolli, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph DeLucia, Louis DeLucia, and Angelo DeLucia, and two sisters Irene Alfera, and Carmel Ritter
Friends may call Monday from 5 to 7PM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where The Mt. Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 6:30PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Tuesday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niles preceded by a 10:30AM prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
