Edna G (Honey) Tate, 91 of Niles passed away on Tuesday January 4, 2022 at Lake Vista in Cortland. She was born May 20, 1930 in Ford City, Pennsylvania the daughter of Perry and Dora Crissmann Johnston. Edna was employed at General Motors Lordstown for 19 years retiring in 1985 and also as an associate at Sam’s Club in Niles for several years after her retirement. She was of The Christian Faith, enjoyed dancing, roller skating, watching sports especially The Cleveland Indians, going to the lake watching the boats and fishing. Her husband Philip Tate whom she married June 20, 1955 passed July 4, 2001. She will be sadly missed by her significant other Raymond Cuddy and three sons, Philip P Tate and his wife Tricia of Oak Harbor, William Jeffrey Tate and his wife Tawnya of Warren, and James D Tate and his wife Lisa of Girard, and daughter Brenda Tate Kravec of Howland, a sister, Darlene Fowler of Fayetteville, Pennsylvania, 10 grandchildren, Larry Kravec, Joe Kravec, Lynsey Kravec, Tera Tate Anderson, Nikki Tate Hembury, Nancy Tate Mitchell, Philip Michael Tate, Rylie Tate, James Tate, and Jared Tate, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers Edson Johnston, James Johnston, Alex Johnston, and four sisters, Elma Fair, Jean Wolfe, Mae Gallick, and Carrie Lenavitt. Per Edna’s wishes there are no calling hours or services. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles
