James V. DePasquale

James V. DePasquale Jr, 68, of Niles, passed away on Wednesday July 20, 2022 at Mercy Health St. Joseph’s Warren Hospital.
He was born July 1, 1954 in Warren the son of James V. and Rose Altobelli DePasquale Sr.
Jimmy was a 1972 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and began working for the City of Niles in 1973. He held various positions including laborer, park foreman, and light department truck operator. He served as The Capital Improvement Inspector and project manager for the city’s engineering department when he retired in July 2003. 
He then served as the city’s service director from January 2016 to February 2017 and most recently was elected as council member at large in 2021. 
He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles and served as an altar boy in elementary school. He loved golfing with his brother John and his friends in the golf leagues. He was also a passionate Yankees fan.
He will be deeply missed by his mother of Niles, two daughters, Rachel DePasquale-Williams and her husband Lamont of Niles and Julie DePasquale and her partner Rob White of Augusta, Georgia, two brothers, John DePasquale of Niles and Joseph DePasquale and his wife Debi of Jupiter,Florida two grandchildren Desaree DePasquale and Zia Williams, two great-grandchildren Romeo DePasquale and Harmony Rose DePasquale, niece Cassie DePasquale, nephew J.D. DePasquale and his wife Marisa, his long time companion Genevieve Gallucci and her son Luke Brian. He will also be missed by his uncles, aunts, and cousins.He was preceded in death by his father James V. DePasquale Sr. on November 5, 2005.
We will always remember Jimmy by his genuine smile and heart of gold. His legacy in life will not be remembered by what he gained, but by what he gave with character and integrity.
Friends may call Friday from 4 to 7PM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where The Mt. Carmel Bereavement Society will conduct prayers at 6:30PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles.
