Joseph E. D’Amico, 73, of Austintown, passed away on Sunday October 22, 2023 while on vacation with his family by his side.
He was born March 16, 1950 in Warren, Ohio, the son of Joseph and Eleanor DiLoreto D’Amico.
He was a 1968 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and a graduate of Youngstown State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Master’s Degree in
Business Administration. He was employed as Financial Representative for 43 years with John Hancock retiring in 2022.
He was also a member of Austintown Community Church where he worked with the Red Door Café which fed the poor, along with the Need Room which provided clothing
and other items to those in need. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing bocce at the IFH in Girard, carpentry, gardening, cooking and baking, especially pizza and pies.
Joseph loved to entertain, spend time with his family and friends, and lived his life to the fullest. Most of all, Joseph loved spending time with his grandchildren Grant,
Ainsley, Noel, and Winter.
His wife, Holly Handwork D’Amico, whom he married November 16, 1995, preceded him in death in 2010.
He will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Alysia Yorkovich, and her husband Y.A. of Streetsboro, and Kelsey McClain and her husband Jesse of Canfield. He will also be missed by his three sisters, Linda Terlecky and her husband Robert of Niles, Mary Anne Baker and her husband Richard of Bayville, New Jersey and Susanne Consiglio and her husband Nick of St. Clair Shores,
Michigan, and his brother John of Niles, along with four grandchildren; Grant and Ainsley Yorkovich, and Noel and Winter McClain. He will be missed by his family and friends whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held 10:30AM Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Austintown Community Church, 242 South Canfield Niles Road, Youngstown, Ohio 44515. Arrangements handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
