Joseph B. Ifft, 87, of Niles, passed away at 10:22AM Sunday January 12, 2020 at Trumbull Regional Medical Center in Warren, Ohio.
He was born June 1, 1932 in Niles the son of Joseph and Evelyn Ifft Skiffey.
Joe was a 1950 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and employed as a general lab foreman at RMI Titanium in Niles for 38 years retiring in 1993. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, enjoyed golfing, watching his grandchildren play baseball, a sports enthusiast, and was a United States Coast Guard Veteran.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Dolores “Toots” Dominic Ifft whom he marred January 7, 1955, three sons, Dan Ifft and his wife Jill of Dover, Joseph Ifft and his wife Robin of Niles, Gary Ifft and his wife Michelle of Niles, eight grandchildren, Amber Bruney and her husband Zac, Daniel Ifft and his wife Kate, Christian Ifft, Joseph R. Ifft, Alyson Jones and her husband Jared, Nicholas Ifft and his fiancée Nikki Tomasiak, Aimee Ifft and her fiancee Evan Savage, Gary Ifft and his fiancée Lindsey Shaffer, and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother William E. Ifft Sr.
Friends may call one hour prior to the 2PM funeral service Friday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery where Joe will be honored for his military services.
