Lisa Cartwright Obituary

NILES - Lisa A.Gambetti- Cartwright,53,  surrounded by her loving family went to be with the Lord, her parents and grandparents on March 11, 2021. What a joyous reunion this must have been. She fought breast cancer with a smile on her face and faith in her heart but her time had come to gain her wings
Lisa was born July 4, 1967 in Greenville, PA to the late Ronald and Carolyn Gambetti. She was a 1985 Graduate of Niles McKinley High School and Gordon D. James Career Center. Upon graduation she worked for Glow Smith Industries; a division of Packard Electric for over 10 years until she decided to be a stay-at-home mom.  In 2002 she found herself on her own to raise her two boys. She was frightened but with the loving support of her family she knew she would be okay. She jumped back into the workforce where she took a position in the office at Jim Pace Pontiac until their closure in 2010. From there she went onto Sweeney Buick GMC through late 2020. Lisa always went to work even on the days she wasn’t at her best, setting a good example for her kids. She was so proud that she could buy a modest place to call home for her and her precious boys. Things weren’t always easy but she did everything she could as single mom to ensure a stable life and loving home.
In 2010 her heart skipped a beat where she met the love of her life John Cartwright.  She loved the saying “I wish I met you sooner so I could love you longer.” They enjoyed a little bit of travel and spending time at their cabin around a campfire. John gave her the best last years of her life. Lisa enjoyed a good laugh, concerts, car shows, eating at Hartville Kitchen and most importantly always spending time with her family. Her husband and boys did an amazing job taking care of her from the day she was diagnosed. They all shaved their heads, adjusted their work schedules so she never had to be alone and took many hours of unpaid leave to be with her in the hospital. Her journey wasn’t easy but having her family by her side helped her through it all.
Lisa is proceeded in death by her Parents Ronald and Carolyn Gambetti, Grandparents Robert and Claire Rush and Edward and Arlene Gambetti.
Precious memories of Lisa’s life live on with her loving husband John Cartwright who she married July 7, 2014. Her amazing and loving sons Brandon (Maddie) Ciriello, Hunter Ciriello and her dog Morgan.  Her sister Gina (George) Mahramas who loved her beyond words. Her nephew George and niece Sophia Mahramas who she absolutely adored and her dear Aunt Madolyn Brown. Lisa was also blessed with stepchildren Jennifer (Heath) Heemsbergen, Kelly (Ryan) Smith, Nathaniel (Rhianne) Cartwright, Devan (Megan) Cartwright and step grandchildren, Noah and Harper Heemsbergen, Nick, Preston and Johnny Cartwright, Kamdyn and Ezra Cartwright and Dawson Cartwright.
The family would like to thank everyone who prayed for Lisa, donated to her fundraisers, brought food when cooking was the last thing on our minds and most importantly checked in with us consistently. Your caring support and friendship will never be forgotten.
