Louis M. Ronghi Sr, 90, of Weathersfield Twp, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday May 28, 2022 at his residence.
He was born November 12, 1931 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania the son of Modesto and Catherine Sidell Ronghi.
Louis was a 1950 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School where he played on the varsity tennis team and employed for 35 years at Copperweld Steel retiring in 1985.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, enjoyed walking, playing tennis, listening to Frank Sinatra, and a United States Army Veteran during the Korean War.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Phyllis Skovran Ronghi whom he married April 8, 1961, three sons Louis M. Ronghi Jr. and his wife Denise of Girard, Frank Ronghi, and Joseph Ronghi and his wife Wendy of Mineral Ridge, a daughter Cheryl Rentenberg and her husband Craig of Charlotte, North Carolina, five grandchildren, Ryan Ronghi and his wife Danica, Lance Ronghi and his wife Danielle, Louie Ronghi(Kate), Courtney Gorup and her husband Brian, and Allyson Marino and her husband John, and five great-grandchildren, Santino, Franco, Wesley, Adalynn, and Audrey.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Ronghi and Roy Ronghi.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Saturday June 25, 2022 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles..
Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery where Louis will be honored for his military services by The Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard.
