Lucy Sherock

Lucy Guliano Sherock, 94, of Niles, passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 30, 2020 at her daughter’s residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born April 13, 1926 in Niles the daughter of Pasquale and Maria Chieffo Guliano.
Lucy was a 1944 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and was employed in the office at Joseph Antenucci Plumbing.
She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Girard, past member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles and its Immaculate Conception Society and Infant of Prague Guild. In her earlier years she volunteered at The Our Lady of Mount Carmel School Library and was festival volunteer for several years.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, her long phone conversations with her girlfriends and family but most of all spending time with family.
Her husband John Sherock whom she married May 16, 1953 died February 8, 2011.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter Cathy Nuzzi and her husband Paul of Girard, her grandchildren, Jennifer Harris and her husband Michael of Powell, Ohio and Matthew Nuzzi and his wife Jessica of Gainesville, Florida, her great-grandchildren, Kayla Ann Harris, Leo John Nuzzi, and Lorenzo Paul Nuzzi, sister-in-laws Theresa Sherock and Betty Sherock both of Girard, brother-in-law  Joe Sherock of Oregon, Ohio, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother and sister-in-law Neil and Mary Jane Guliano, brothers and sisters-in-law Nick Sherock, Frank  and Marie Sherock, and Eleanor Sherock.
Friends may call Monday from 1 to 2PM at St. Rose Catholic Church in Girard. The family asks that social distancing and no gatherings take place in church except for those who are staying for mass. Facial coverings are mandatory also.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2PM Monday at St. Rose Catholic Church in Girard with Fr. Ronald Nuzzi and Msgr John Zuraw officiating. Social distancing and mask are mandatory for the mass.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
