Margaret Pagano Obituary

Margaret Helen Pagano, 97, of Niles, passed away peacefully on Monday March 16, 2020 at Windsor House of Liberty.

She was born May 29, 1922 at home in Niles the daughter of Angelo and Carmela Perrone Levero.

Margaret was a 1940 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, and was employed at Alberini’s Restaurant retiring as banquet manager in 1984. Always wanting to keep busy, she came out of retirement in 1986 to work in family owned business until retiring for a second time in 2008 at the age of 86.

Margaret was a wonderful cook and baker and was the happiest when she was feeding her family and friends. Even when hospitalized she insisted on sharing her tray with visitors. Casinos and going out to lunch were some of her favorite activities, but nothing gave her more pleasure than family gatherings, hearing her grand and great-grandchildren call her nunny, this put a smile on her face and melted her soul.

Margaret was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles. In her younger years she worked the church festival and was a member of The Renewal Team.

She married George Anthony Pagano on June 12, 1943 and after 55 years of marriage he passed away on July 16, 1998.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Georgia Streamo of Girard, her son Mathew Pagano(Dawn) with whom she made her home, her grandchildren, Margaret Streamo, Donnie(Rhonda) Streamo, Mark(Terra) Pagano, Chris(Patty) Streamo, Stacey(Aaron) Alejars, Mathew(Taylor) Pagano, her great-grandchildren, Bella, Bobby, and Joey Alejars, Jordan Streamo, Dominic, Sofia, Nina, Gia, Vincent Pagano, Angela Kalinich, and Emma Fusselman, a sister-in-law  Esther Castellano, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Mathew, granddaughter Christine Marie Streamo, son-in-law Donald  Streamo, a brother Vincent Levero, and three sisters, Rita Frandanisa, Mary Mariotti, and Carrie White.
