Michael Carmen Fogarty, 79, of Champion, departed this world January 16 2023 for that bandstand in the sky where he undoubtedly reunited with family, friends, and former bandmates who awaited his arrival.

He was a 1961 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, where he proudly played fullback for Tony Mason’s undefeated State Championship Red Dragons football team. Mike was a powerfully talented tenor saxophonist and artist playing jazz in several bands including with The Billy Stewart Orchestra in clubs all over Ohio, Pennsylvania, and in The Bohemian Caverns in Washington, D.C.
Mike’s honesty, big heart, and contagious smile will be missed.
