Nicholas W. “Gigs” Chuirazzi, 88, of Vienna, passed away on Friday May 27, 2022 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth’s Youngstown Hospital.
He was born March 1, 1934 in Niles the son of Nicola and Maria Antoinette Pela Chuirazzi.
Gigs was a 1952 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and attended Youngstown College for two years.
He was employed at Herb Stein Car Dealership for two years in downtown Niles, at Johnny’s Amoco Service as a mechanic, Santisi Trucking for 25 years, and S&B Trucking for 10 years.
He was of The Catholic Faith, a member of The Girard-Liberty Rotary, and The Wednesday Night Dinner Club. He enjoyed camping, attending NASCAR races and other sporting events especially The Super Bowl, The World Series, and College National Championship games.
He was a United States Army veteran having served in Germany.
His wife Joann Panigall Chuirazzi whom he married November 8, 1958 died October 8, 2013.
He will be sadly missed by two sons, Jeffrey Chuirazzi of Glendale, Arizona and Kevin Chuirazzi(Kristie Brown) with whom he made his home, two daughters, Deborah Nunamaker and her husband David of Midland, Michigan and Michelle McCarthy and her husband Eugene of Vienna, three grandchildren, Rachelle, Jessica, and Robert, and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, John Chuirazzi, Joseph Chuirazzi, Louis Chuirazzi, and Carl Chuirazzi, and two sisters, Mary Salapata, and Eleanor Grubbs.
Cremation has taken place. There are no calling hours or services.
Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
