Patrick G. Cassidy

Patrick Gary Cassidy, 74, of Niles, passed away on Sunday July 17, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born August 21, 1947 in Warren the son of Jerome and Patricia Brodie Cassidy.
Pat was a 1965 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. After high school, Patrick served in the Vietnam War as a Military Policeman for the United States Army. Upon returning, Pat was employed for 37 years at Delphi Packard Electric, retiring in 2004.He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Niles. Pat was very active in the Catholic Church. He enjoyed volunteering his time as an altar server, at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church festival and as a Kindergarten CCD teacher.
In his free time, he enjoyed bowling, golfing, corn hole, and in his younger days, playing kickball with his daughters and the other kids in the neighborhood.
Most of all Pat enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. They were his whole world.He was an avid Penn State, Notre Dame, and John F. Kennedy Football fan. One of Pat’s favorite things to do was tailgate at a Penn State football game.Pat was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He never missed any of his daughters or grandchildren’s functions.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Linda Incarnato Cassidy whom he married August 5, 1972, two daughters Kelley Franco and her husband Vince of Girard and Heather Todd of Aurora, three sisters, Wendy Hornyak of Hubbard, Sheila Senk and her husband Marion of Clearwater, Florida, and Ardis Fleck and her husband Gregory of Niles,five grandchildren, Marianna Franco, Jackson Todd, Ambrose Franco,Ellie Todd, and Allyson Erro, who was Pat’s bonus granddaughter, and several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jerome Cassidy,three sisters, Ellen Lofrano, Beverly Barclay, and Pamela Miklas and his father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Mildred Incarnato.
Friends may call from 4 to 7PM Thursday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Friday at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Niles preceded by a 9:30AM prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Girard City Cemetery where Pat will be honored for his military service by The Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard.
Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Son Funeral Home in Niles.
