Raymond Michael Caciale, 76, died Wednesday February 9th at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.
Ray was born on October 3, 1945, the son of Angelo Caciale and Ann Tisone. He was a life long resident of Niles and was a passionate life long learner and teacher. He received a BA in French, Latin and Philosophy from Kent State University and an MA in Philosophy from The Ohio State University.
He taught 30 years in the Hubbard School System from 1967-1998. Concurrently, while at Hubbard Schools, he taught as an adjunct professor of Philosophy and Logic for 20 years in the Philosophy and Religious Studies Department at Youngstown State University, 1979-1999.
Ray’s main interests were Philosophy and Religion, Logic, Foreign Languages (French, Latin, Spanish, German and Italian), Mathematics, History, Art and Art History. He also very much enjoyed listening to the musical compositions of the greatest classical composers of Western Civilization and was an Ohio State Football Fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Angelo and Ann (Tisone) Caciale. He is survived by his cousin, William Tisone and his family (wife Lisa, children Valerie and Nick), whose help and kindly concern made him happy during his final years, and to whom he is eternally grateful. Ray also had many friends from his teaching days and retirement years that he is grateful for.
Friends may call Thursday from 10am until the time of the 11am Service of Christian Burial at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Family requests facial coverings be worn.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
