Raymond G. Dom, 70, of Niles, OH, formerly of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Mercy Health St. Joseph’s Warren Hospital..
He was born November 16, 1950 in Johnstown, son of the late Raymond Dom and Helen (Emerick) Dom, and Stepmother, Catharine “Kay” Curry Dom.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Nancy (Trimbur) Iezzi-Dom whom he married July 17, 2004; children, Raymond Dom III and his wife Angela, Diannah Dom, Michael Dom, Francine McCabe and her husband Paul, James Iezzi, and Gina Cheeks and her husband Rick; grandchildren, Phoenix Durst and his significant other Cabree Ford, Gage Dom, Sierra Dom, Athena Dom, Ryan Estes and his wife Angela, Matthew Estes and his wife Ashley, Alissa Floyd and her husband Cory, and Ricky Cheeks; great-grandchildren, Caleesi Durst, Ashton Floyd, and Macie Floyd; brothers, Kenneth “Dale” Dom and his wife Cindy, Larry Dom and his wife Barbara; sister, Linda Albert and her husband Gary; step sister, Tonikay Metzgar and her husband Dennis.
Ray was a 1969 graduate of Johnstown High School and studied Economics at The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown for two years. He was employed by the state of Pennsylvania as the Maintenance Manager at YDC in New Castle for 29 years, retiring in 2009. Ray was of the Lutheran faith; member of The Warren Ski Club; enjoyed coin and stamp collecting, and ancestry. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 18 2021, at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with the Rev. Scott A. Klimke officiating. Military rites conducted at the funeral home by Menoher Post #155 VFW Ritual Team. Private burial will be in Richland Cemetery.
