Richard E. Galgozy

Richard “Ernie” Galgozy, 90, of Niles, passed away at 12:39AM Monday May 31, 2021 at his residence.
He was born September 15, 1930 in Warren, Ohio the son of John and Bertha Sabo Galgozy.
Ernie attended Warren G. Harding High School, was employed at Republic and LTV Steel as a B.O.F. Foreman for 32 years retiring in 1992, enjoyed wood working, and was a United States Naval Veteran of The Korean War.
His wife Alice Fauvie Galgozy whom he married April 25, 1950 died September 8, 1978.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Marilyn Gregory Galgozy whom he married in 1979, a son Ernie Galgozy (Michelle Forrest) of Niles, two daughters, Laura Anzevino and her husband Randy of Salem, and Betty Ann Limbeck and her husband Daniel of Austintown, four step-children, Tracey Duffy, Rob Masincupp, John Masincupp, and Megan Jones, a sister Carol Young and her husband John of Niles, eight grandchildren Charles Schoenfeld and his wife Andrea, Melissa Schoenfeld, Alexandria Schultz (Matt Lewis), Derek Dunn, Christopher Dunn, Elizabeth Dunn, Katherine Galgozy (Devin Starr), Joshua Galgozy, three great-grandchildren, and a son-in-law Tony Hunt.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Denise Hunt, his brother John Galgozy, two step brothers Richard S. Galgozy and Donald Galgozy, and a son-in-law Gregory Dunn.
Private family committal services will be held at The Niles City Cemetery Chapel where Richard will be honored for his military services by The Hubbard VFW Post 3767.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
