Rosemarie Muccio

Rosemarie Muccio, 96, of Niles OH died peacefully on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. She was born on July 6, 1925 to Gus and Mary Cilano Mercer on Russell Ave in Niles.

 Rosemarie was a 1942 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. She married Tony Muccio at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles on August 23, 1947. Tony was an electrical contractor and died December 2, 2004. She will be missed by three sons: Donald (Patricia) of Naples FL, Tony (Vivian) of Chantilly VA and Thomas of Chardon OH. She fostered a strong and loving bond with her seven grandchildren: Matthew, Andrew (Leah), Kelly, Michelle, Christopher, Jonathan (Brooke) and Jacob. She regretted being too ill to travel to visit her great grandchildren Sarah and Nathan. She was preceded in death by her younger sister Francis Molnar (Steve) of Kent OH.
 In addition to being a homemaker, she managed the Rose Building in Niles for over 20 years. Upon retirement she spent the majority of her time in Naples Florida where she enjoyed golf, tennis, and played duplicate bridge at a competitive level. She was known for her silly and irreverent sense of humor. And she was vividly remembered by many who commented about her incredible energy and love of life. She was a special person who made a lasting impression on those of us who have known her.
Per Rosemarie’s wishes there are no calling hours or services.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
