Rosemary Patrone, 87 of Niles, Ohio passed away at 8:00 am, Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Mercy Health - Saint Joseph Warren Hospital.
Rosemary was born March 10, 1933, in Niles, a daughter of Antonio and Rosina Marie Toriello Patrone.
A 1954 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, Rosemary was a homemaker and life-long resident of Niles until she entered Continuing Healthcare at the Ridge later in life.She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, Ohio.
Rosemary enjoyed spending time playing with her dogs and cats. She loved music and was a vociferous reader of all types of literature and romance novels. Rosemary was an avid viewer of health care programs on tv and never held back giving her “medical advice” to whomever would ask for it. When visiting Rosemary, she always requested that the visitor bring Kentucky Fried Chicken, candy, or chocolates. She was a lovely and entertaining person to all she met, and she was a favorite aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Rosemary will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, and friends as well as Kelsey McGinnis who gave her tender loving care at the Ridge. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Joseph and Lawrence Patrone, sisters Mrs. Jennie Vaccaro, Mrs. Elizabeth DeJerolme, Mrs. Angeline Nacco, Mrs. Joanna Palcich, Mrs. Lucille Telego and Mrs. Stella Greenfield.
Rosemary’s family wishes to acknowledge and thank the staff at the Continuing Healthcare at the Ridge, who provided their aunt with the excellent, loving care that allowed her to live a long and happy life. To the medical, healthcare professionals at Mercy Health - St. Joseph Warren that allowed her to pass peacefully and to the three Chaplin’s at St. Joseph’s who performed the sacrament of Last Rite Indulgences that permitted Rosemary to be welcomed to her eternal rest with her loving Lord, Jesus Christ.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles. Due to the current health situation, social distancing measures are expected to be observed and facial coverings are mandatory at the church. Rosemary remains will be buried with her parents at the St. Stephen Cemetery, in Niles.
