Sandra K. Giuliano, 80, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2021, at The Inn at Poland Way, Poland, Ohio, following a valiant fight with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Sandy was born November 7, 1940 in Warren, to David Strock and Dorothy (Anderson) Strock Bauman.
Sandra was a 1958 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and a 1962 graduate of Saint Luke’s School of Nursing in Cleveland. She married Robert Alton in 1962 with whom she had two daughters, Joanna and Betsy Alton. She married Phil Giuliano in 1983 and spent 32 years with him until his death in 2015.
Sandra worked as a Registered Nurse in hospitals in New York and Illinois, before moving back to Ohio. She worked at a few doctor’s offices in Warren, before moving on Trumbull Memorial Hospital, where she finished her career as a cardiovascular nurse. She worked there for 26 years until her retirement in 2005. She enjoyed gardening, reading, sewing, dancing and cooking. Sandy will be remembered for her easy laughter, beautiful smile, her kindness and compassion to others, and her loving heart.
She was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren. Memories of Sandy will be carried on by her daughters, Joanna (Norm) Scarazzo of Canfield, OH, and Betsy (Jeff) Craig of Johns Creek, GA; her stepson, Anthony (Shelby) Giuliano of El Paso, TX; five grandchildren, Nicole Dascenzo of Washington D.C., Michael Dascenzo of Kent, OH, Kyle Craig of Athens, GA, Mackenzie Craig of Atlanta, GA and Sydney Craig of Johns Creek, GA; and her sister, Sharon (John) Harrell of Oviedo, FL. Her memory will also be cherished by her friends, many from high school, nursing school, and TMH.
