Shirley J. Werden, 93, of Girard, passed away on Saturday April 2, 2022 at Windsor House at Omni Manor Health Care Center in Youngstown.
She was born August 11, 1928 in McDonald the daughter of Roy and Julia Johnson Bailey.
Shirley was employed as an inspector for 26 years at Delphi Packard Electric retiring in 1991.She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles, enjoyed casino trips, bowling, and avid football fan.
Her husband Kenneth C. Werden Sr. whom she married November 2, 1946 died December 23, 2004.
She will be deeply missed by three sons, Kenneth C. Werden Jr. and his wife Barbara of Niles, Gregory Werden and his wife Ree of Austintown, and Jeffery Werden of Bloomington, Indiana, her daughter and caregiver Kathleen Cvetkovich and her husband Stephen of Liberty ,seven grandchildren, Jennifer Crank and her husband Shawn of Niles, Ryan Werden and his wife Kristen of Willoughby Hills, Ohio, Michael Cvetkovich and his wife Jamie of New Castle, Pennsylvania, Stacey Baun and her husband Kenneth of North Jackson, Natalie O’Heron of Boardman, Taylor Venezuela and her husband David of Rocky River, Ohio and Sierra Werden of Niles eight great-grandchildren Nathan Crank, Brianna Crank, Calvin Werden, Teagan Werden, Kinley Baun, Rilyn Baun, Camryn Cvetkovich and Leighton Cvetkovich, and leaves her long time best friend since first grade Ida Cella.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Sandra Corsale, a grandson Rick Johnson, and a sister Betty Huffman.Friends may call from 10AM up until the time of the 12:00PM funeral service Wednesday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
