Thomas G. Maley, 71, of McDonald, passed away on Sunday July 24, 2022 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown.
Tom was born January 6, 1951 in Warren, the son of Michael and Mary Rose Gallo Maley.
He was a 1968 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, a graduate of Youngstown State University, and was a Certified Public Accountant .
He has been employed at AJAX Magnethermic, at Packer, Deislinger & Johnson in Warren, Beckett Aviation, Dearing Compression, Metropolitan Bank in Youngstown, and retired from Home Federal in Niles in 2016.
He was a member Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles. His second home was Saybrook Township on Lake Erie, which is where he loved spending his summers and watching the sun set over the lake. He was a member of The Carpatho-Rusyn Society, and served on the board of directors for The Cadence Care Network.
He enjoyed attending Youngstown State University Penguins football and basketball games; and was an avid baseball fan, closely following the Cleveland Indians and Mahoning Valley Scrappers; and of course Pittsburgh Penguins hockey. What he valued most was watching his grandchildren in all their sports and activities.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Debbie Masciangelo Maley whom he married July 15, 1978, three sons, Michael Matt Maley and his wife Christine of McDonald, Brian Maley and his wife Erin of Hudson, and Corey Maley of Mineral Ridge, four grandchildren, Avery, Mia, Siena, and Kate, and his pet turtles.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation and celebration of Tom's life will be held at The Cadence training room, 39 North Main Street, Niles, Ohio. Thursday August 4th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
