Thomas H. Thompson

Thomas H. Thompson, 68, of Girard, died Tuesday March 9, 2021 at home with his wife and daughter by his side after a courageous fight with cancer.
He was born September 9, 1952 in Warren the son of Dorothy Murray Thompson and the late Howard Thompson.
Tom graduated from Howland High School in 1970, was employed at AVI Foods Systems and owned and operated Thompson Pools for over 40 years.
He enjoyed doing all his home remodeling, cooking holiday meals for his in-laws, playing with his grand pup Hank, and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.
On September 17, 1988 he married the love of his life Theresa Liguori and they had 32 years of fun and adventure together along with having their daughter Maria.
Tom is survived by his loving family, his wife Theresa, daughter Maria Thompson (Fiancee Kevin Koncsol) of Niles, his son T.J. Thompson(Lacey) of Santee, California, a grandson  Thomas H. Thompson III, a daughter Andrea of Colorado with her three children, his in-laws, Fabian and Frances Liguori, Ann Majecic, Michelle Liguori along with 2 nephews Anthony and Vince Belica that loved him like a dad, and his four brothers, Fred, George, Mike, and Brian.
He was preceded in death by his father.
The family wishes to give a special thank you to Dr. Ricciardi and All Care Hospice nurses Mike and Jessica for their compassionate care during the last three weeks of his life.
Friends may call Thursday from 10AM to Noon at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Social distancing measures will be enforced and masks are mandatory.
At Tom’s request, everyone is invited to Leon's in Howland at 12:30PM Thursday for a celebration of life.
