Yolanda A. Monteforte

Yolanda A. Monteforte, 89, of Niles, passed away at 6:26AM Saturday June 27, 2020 at her residence.

She was born August 13, 1930 in Niles the daughter of Rocco and Vera Vecchione Flaviano.

Yolanda was a 1948 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and was employed at Strouss Department Store in Warren. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, enjoyed crafts, flowers, traveling, gardening, cooking, baking, collecting, casino trips, and garage sales.

She will be deeply missed by her husband Luke Monteforte whom she married April 18, 1953, two sons Alan Monteforte, at home and Jeffery Monteforte and his wife Sharlene of Broadview Heights, Ohio, four grandchildren, Brock Monteforte and his wife Tracy, Eric Monteforte, Troy Monteforte, and Trevor Monteforte, and a great-grandson Gregory Monteforte.

She was preceded in death by a son Gregory Monteforte, two brothers Rocky Flaviano, and Anthony  “Butch” Flaviano, and three sisters, Laura Biviano, Violet Kish, and Mary Bufwack.

Friends may call from 10AM to 11AM Tuesday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Due to the current health situation, social distancing measures are expected to be observed and friends coming to pay respects to the family are kindly asked to promptly depart the funeral home after doing so. Facial coverings are strongly recommended please.
Funeral services will be private.

Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery
