Yolanda M. Patena, 94, of Niles, passed away at 1:36PM January 24, 2019 at her residence.
She was born July 27, 1924 in Niles the daughter of Tindoro and Thelma Casamento Segreto.
She was a 1942 graduate of Colebrook High School and employed at The Our Lady of Mount Carmel School Cafeteria and Mollica’s Catering in Niles for several years. Yolanda was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, The Infant Jesus of Prague Guild, festival volunteer, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Her husband Ted Joseph Patena whom she married November 26, 1953 died August 20, 2009.
She will be sadly missed by her son Ted John Patena of Weathersfield, two daughters, Kathleen Brownlee, with whom she made her home, and Cynthia Patena of Cleveland, a granddaughter, Breslyn Crosby, a brother, Albert Segreto of Warren and a sister, Josephine Marsh of Warren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Tony Segreto, Phillip Segreto, Frank Segreto, and Sam Segreto, and four sisters, Louise Fuda, Petrina Corso, Lena Spain, and Rose Gilk.
Friends may call from 3 to 5PM Sunday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where the Mount Carmel Bereavement Ministry and The Blessed Mother Society will conduct prayers at 4:30PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Monday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles preceded by a 9:30AM prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery.
