Rocco N Flaviano

Rocco N “Rocky” Flaviano, 79, of Niles went home to be with the Lord April 13th, 2015 at St Joseph’s Hospital in Warren, OH.

 He was born on April 9th, 1936 in Niles, OH the son of Rocco and Vera Vecchione Flaviano.

     Rocco joined the United States Army in 1954 and served for 2 years playing lead clarinet in the Army Band. 
     
     He worked several years as service manager at Wilt Pontiac in Warren, OH and retired as owner and operator of Rocky’s Auto Sales in Champion, Ohio. 
     
Rocco was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church in Niles, enjoyed flying remote control airplanes, spending time with his family, and had a love for music as he played saxophone in a local polka band for over 40 years.
Rocco will be deeply missed by his wife of 58 years, Nancy Vivolo Flaviano whom he married February 23, 1957; three sons Richard(Andrea) of Wexford, PA,  Randall of Niles, Robert(Susan) of Howland; two sisters, Yolanda Monteforte (Luke) of Niles, and Violet Kish of McDonald, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and his nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Rocco was preceded in death by his parents Rocco and Vera, a son Rocky Flaviano, a brother Anthony Flaviano, and two sisters Laura Biviano and Mary Bufwack.

Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7PM at The Joseph Rossi and Son Funeral Home in Niles where The Mount Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 6:30PM.

Funeral services will be held 10AM Thursday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. The service will conclude with Rocco being honored for his military services by The Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard.
