Rose Marie Malvasi

Rose Marie Malvasi, 92 of Niles, died July 28 at Lake Vista of Cortland.

Born November 6, 1922, Rose was the daughter of Phillip and Margaret Jacola Malvasi.

She was a 1940 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and was employed at Packard Electric for 30 years until her retirement in 1974.

 Rose was an active member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Mount Carmel Societyand Niles SCOPE, as well as a long-time volunteer at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

In addition to her parish activities and volunteer work, Rose also enjoyed golfing, bowling, sewing, cooking, and traveling

.She will be deeply missed by her two sisters, Josephine Minerd of Niles and Connie Allard of Warren and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Michael Malvasi, a sister Ann Paolucci and brothers-in-law Harold (Bud) Allard and Roy Minerd.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lake Vista of Cortland, who provided compassionate care and support for Rose and her family.

Friends may call Friday, July 31 from 8:30 to 9:30AM at Joseph Rossi and Sons  Funeral Home in Niles.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Niles preceded by a 9:30 prayer service at the funeral home.

 Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
