Sarah E. D’Errico, 42, of Niles died at 6:45AM Wednesday July 6, 2016 at University Hospital’s Seidman Cancer Center in Cleveland after a courageous battle with AML Leukemia.
She was born February 25, 1974 in Columbus, Ohio the daughter of Walter and Karen Lee Kingry Matheny.
She was a 1992 graduate of Westland High School, attended The Ohio State University, and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Youngstown State University with a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education. Sarah was employed at Delphi Packard Electric then by The Trumbull County Educational Service Center as a teacher for their Trumbull Virtual Learning Academy.
She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, a church PSR instructor and festival volunteer, and a Girl Scout Troop Leader. She enjoyed fishing, scuba diving, kayaking, family vacations, entertaining, and was very creative with crafts. Her greatest love and devotion was to her husband and children.
She will be deeply missed by her parents of Grove City, Ohio, her husband James D’Errico whom she married June 25, 2004, her daughter Alysse Marie D’Errico, at home, her son Gavin Joseph D’Errico, at home, two brothers, Andrew Matheny and his wife Jerri of Campbellsburg, Kentucky, and Adam Matheny of Grove City, Ohio, her maternal grandmother Evelyn Kingry of Grove City, Ohio and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sam and Joyce D’Errico of Niles.
She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Joseph D’Errico and her grandfather Herman Kingry
Friends may call from 2 to 5PM Sunday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where The Mount Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 4:30PM
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM Monday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles preceded by a 9:30AM prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
