George V. Rohland, 88, of Niles, died Friday September 23, 2016 at his residence surrounded by loving family.
He was born February 13, 1928 in Brownsville, Pennsylvania the son of George and Maxine Budd Rohland.
George retired from Republic Steel in Warren. He has also worked in McBeil Plumbing in Brownsville, PA and Neeling Box in Washington, PA. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Niles. George enjoyed listening to polka music, telling stories to family and friends, and antique cars.
His wife Emily Wright Rohland, whom he married June 26, 1949, died October 10, 2013.
He will be deeply missed by two sons George V. Rohland and his wife Theresa of Niles and Mark Kevin Rohland of Niles, three daughters, Carol Pleiss of Niles, Cheryl Sapienza of Vermillion, Ohio, Evelyn Humble of Niles, sixteen grandchildren, Mark Edward Pleiss, Natalie Anne Pleiss, David Rohland Pleiss, Danielle Hoffman, Cayla Rohland, Gina Rohland, Alyssa Rohland, Stephanie Gard and her husband
David, Stephen Chonko, Emily Chonko, Wayne Rohland and his wife Barbara, Sarah Feldhaus and her husband Shane, Jennifer Rohland, Matthew Rohland, Michael Rohland, and Christina Humble, and eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
